Regex for Mac

Regex is a native macOS editor for testing Swift Regex patterns against local text.

Features

• Shows explicit empty, invalid, zero-match, and matching states.
• Highlights matches live and shows match counts.
• Lets you inspect captures 0 through 8.
• Supports case-insensitive, dot-matches-newlines, and multiline options.
• Previews $0–$8 and $$ replacements in a read-only result without changing Test Data.
• Escapes patterns when copied and unescapes them when pasted.
• Can recover one workspace locally in the app sandbox when you opt in. Recovery is off by default.

Patterns, test data, and replacement previews stay on the Mac. The app has no uploads, account, cloud sync, or app analytics.

The interface is available in English, German, French, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Latin-American Spanish. Translations are machine-assisted.
